It really did...but it's more or less over, so my dreams of an extra day off from work have been dashed. DASHED! ;_;
I spent a lot of money today. A lot of it was on practical stuff: practical work shoes, socks, underwear, clothes. I also bought some new markers. Not exactly a neccessity, but still... ^_^
I'm gonna go watch Mulan now!

My back hurts so much! I'm not even sure why. I don't remember hurting it. I was nearly crying this morning from the pain and was considering calling out from work, but after the shower I felt tons better. It's still a bit sore, even with extra strength Tylenol, but it's bearable ^_^;
For the first time in a while I'm actually ahead of myself comic-wise. Both The Reborn and Dream About Me are set to auto-update on Friday. Yeah, my buffer consists of a single page for each comic, but still....

Cookie died today. Julie told me at work. I was stunned and sad. Mom took it a lot harder than I thought she would. I guess I should call Dad tomorrow, he should know too.
Wa-Wa won't be the same without Cookie teasing me.

I figured out how to export my old journal after all. Forget all that clean slate stuff; there's stuff in that journal that I'm glad I was able to save.
I still have to figure out how I want this journal to look, so expect colors and styles to change over the next few days ^_^

Mm, looks like GJ is dying. How sad, I've been there for about two years. I tried to figure out how to transfer my posts, but that confused me. @_@
So, it's a clean slate, I guess. It's kind of nice to start over...the old blog had a lot of crap that I didn't want people seeing anyway. Most of the really drama-fied stuff was set to private or friends only, but still, a clean, shiny new journal! ^_^
I've been procastinating, as usual. Guess I'll go color the next page of The Reborn. Bye!

ZOMG, it are 2008 and I haven't posted in this blog even once?
I'm still getting over that illness. It's mostly passed, but I still have a hacking cough and some shortness of breath X_x
I'm pretty on top of things comic-wise this week. There'll even be an MDJ update soon! Astounding! =O
Switching Dream to twice a week updates is a bit tough, but it's worth it. The slow pace of once a week updates was really getting to me. It's worth the sacrifice of color.

so, Christmas was nice. Not great, but nice. I like all my presents and by now I've used most of them.
The day after Christmas Mom, Katie and I went to see Enchanted. I loved it! ^.^
Later that day I got sick. ._.
and I'm still sick. Mostly better, but my throat is really sore ;_;
On Thursday, I just laid around all day, sleeping and watching TV. I did manage to update The Reborn between naps, so go me!

So, it's Christmas Eve, and less than two hours till the big day. I'm getting kinda excited, actually. I won't be getting a lot of presents, but most of them are suprises, which is fun. ^_^
Yesterday I went out shopping with Dad. I helped him pick out a diamond necklace for Liz. She'll either be thrilled with it, or disapointed that it's not an engagement ring. I bought a book for Katie, but I lost it! So I bought something else, and that gift is safely wrapped and under the tree. I asked Dad for something kind of expensive, but it can be a combination birthday/Christmas gift.

I feel a bit less stressed now. All the Secret Santa art is, at least, inked, and I should have time to do colors, if only flat colors. I also inked the Christmas fillers for The Reborn and MDJ.
But I still have to wrap presents, and bake cookies. And I still have presnts to buy. But my stomach isn't in knots anymore.
By the way, I, being the paragon of maturity that I am, bought four Baby-sitters Club books today. ^_^;
Man, I used to love those.

So, I have cramps, but no period. How annoying.
I've been having trouble finding a present for my step=father. I've been asking him since before Thanksgiving what he would like and when he finally answers, it's with an expensive video game that's out of both mine and Jon's budget's combined.
But I got Jon's present finished. I want to get him one more little thing, but I'm not sure what.
Okay, I'm gonna go draw my HMCP comic and ink comic pages. Bye!

But the most disturbing thing about this image is that I'm pretty sure that the artist who drew it is also the one who drew those wacky Christian!Archie comics. Spire comics, perhaps?
I feel better than I did yesterday. More festive and generally cheerfuller.

So, for like the first time ever, I am not looking forward to Christmas. I mean, there have been years that I wasn't terribly excited, but this is the first year that I just...don't want Christmas to come. Expect I also do. I waver between the two. Earlier in the holiday season I was more festive but as Christmas draws nearer, I dread it more. Some of it is the normal holiday stress: presents to buy, then wrap, arts to draw, cookies to bake. Some of it is PMS: being a lady sucks.
But most of it is grief. This is the first Christmas without Pop-Pop and just to make things a little more sucktastic, Pop-Pop's birthday is the 23 and the sixth month anniversary of his death is that day or the day before.

So, I'm at work, right? The co-manager, Kerry (or is it Carrie...?) tells me that there's produce stuff outside, some juices and a shelf display thing. As I'm loading the stuff onto a u-boat, this guy comes over to me and hands me a piece of paper. My first thought, for some reason, was that he was a drug dealer. Yeah, I know that makes no sense. Turns out he wanted to ask me out and the paper had his phone number.
I'm not really sure what to do. I have no idea who this dude is. Presumably, he's a customer, but I can't place him. And why give me a piece of paper? Why not actually ask me? It seems kinda junior high-ish, but maybe he's shy? argh...
In other news, I'm now hosting both Mario's Day Job and Dream About Me on DD too. There are a lot of people who only read comics at one site and not the other, so it's a bid to reach as many readers as possible.
argh, my stomach hurts. stupid guy with a note. what am I supposed to doooooo? *whine*

Not festive today. Today sucked. I was in a crappy mood all day and some customer yelled at me. T_T
Here's what happened:
Normally, when a cashier gets a raincheck, she puts it in the drawer with the coupons. Occasionally, though, the customer gets the raincheck back. This occurs when have the item, but only have one left. So, the cashier reduces the raincheck price, and then marks on the raincheck that the customer has x number of items left to redeem. But, as I said, normally, the raincheck goes in with the coupons.
So, today I had one of those customers who gets the raincheck back, but after doing the raincheck, by sheer force of habit, I put the raincheck in with the coupons. And the guys YELLS at me "Hey, I'm supposed to get that back!"
I cringed and apologized a million times. I was actually shaking a little bit.
He didn't have to yell. It's not like I did it on purpose, or to be a jerk or whatever.
Creep.

Today started off as "one of those days"; I did NOT want to get out of bed, and stayed in bed so long that I was a bit rushed and didn't have time to make lunch. (I've been bringing my lunch to work to save money and have healthy meals). I also misplaced some money, but I'm not even sure how much. It could be just a dollar, it could be ten.
At work, I dropped a glass vase. I kept getting called up front, even though I needed to get outside and water plants. Customers were...weird. Not rude, just weird.
But after I came home, Mom and I hung up some Christmas lights and I started to feel better. Now I feel full of Christmas cheer! :D

So, yesterday I was covering express while Donna was on her break. The current customer had found someone's A&P card on the floor and handed it to me. As I was putting it in the drawer, she was talking, and I assumed it was about the lost card, so I only half-listened. Suddenly she says "I guess you're not going to do anything about it."
"What?"
"I spilled yogurt by the candy"
Assuming she meant the candy rack by the register, I craned my neck to see the mess and saw nothing. I asked her where the spill was, and she replies "In the dairy department, by the candy" (Candy and dairy are in the same aisle)
So, I'm a little confused: why is she telling me?,when she repeats her snarky comment about me not doing anything about it.
So, let me get this straight: You spill something in dairy, parade through the store, probably walking by Deli and the Customer Service Desk, not to mention register 1-7, wait on line, and then tell a cashier and get annoyed because she doesn't immediatly react? Geez, lady, my delayed reaction isn't going to make a huge difference. -_-
Next time, don't wait until you get on line.

Meh, it's too late to start on a new episode of Blue Seed. I should probably go to bed, actually.
I made good use of my free time today: the 24 hour comic is safely scanned and set to auto-update on Dec. 3. I also (finally) updated Dream About Me, drew Zero's OC, and even excerised. =O
